Induced Draft Cross Flow Cooling Towers

Induced draft cross flow cooling towers can be constructed with either treated wood structure or with Concrete structures with stainless steel or GRP grids for supporting the fill media. It generally comes with a distribution basin with nozzles, situated at the top of the tower. Gravity pushes the water to be distributed evenly through flower pot target nozzles over the fill media and then flow vertically along the honey comb fills. The fan placed horizontally along the motor to pull air over the fill media, where some of the water evaporates (To minimize the evaporation of water molecules drift eliminators made of single wave AC Sheets or PVC sheets are placed before the fan) and hence extracts the heat from the remaining water. Moist and warm air is then drawn to the fan and dispersed into the air outside via the fan deck. The cold water that is created is then accumulated at the collection sump and then used for re-circulation.

Routine maintenance of cooling tower is easy. The covers and nozzles are easily removed and can be washed. Strainers can be placed on the outer periphery of the flow control valves to restrict the clogging of the nozzles frequently particular in the industries like sugar plants. These towers mainly being used in chemical process industries with treated wood structures in order to minimize the corrosion due the chemicals in atmosphere.

A few prominent features of the induced draft cross flow cooling tower are durability, compact design, superior performance and very low power consumption. The FRP also makes it resistant to corrosion, which is very essential for such a machine. The noise factor is minimal as well. It can be installed on any flat surface and does not require any elaborate construction aids.

The crossflow & counter flow cooling tower has its applications in a variety of industries such as – oil refineries, steel factory and foundry, glass manufacturing plants, breweries and distilleries, chemical industries, air conditioning plants, air compressors, cold rooms, dairy industry, food processing plants, diesel and gas projects, plastic mouldings manufacturing units, PVC pipes manufacturers, cosmetics and soap industry, aluminium die casting industry, and many more; the list is endless, where the requirement of the crossflow cooling tower are essential.

The modular construction of the induced draft cross flow cooling tower makes it easily upgradeable and expansion can also be done without much effort. The placement and mounting of the mechanical equipment on the cooling tower makes it very convenient for inspection and maintenance. The fill media made of imported pinewood, redwood or PVC ‘V’ Bars. All other hardware should be of either SS (stainless steel) or at-least HDG (Hot Dip Galvanised). The entire component is does not weigh much, hence making it simple to install and use. The construction time for these towers is very less compare to any other type of cooling towers particulars for large projects.

We are having tie-ups with mid size civil execution companies, thermal designers, civil designers & cooling tower component manufacturers. So we can provide any kind of services in the field of Induced Draft Cooling Tower.
